Sneak-Peak 1 : Fiction Story

SNEAK-PEAK Sara, Emily, and Mario woke up from their slumber. They stretched their arms and yawned. “Kids!! Time for breakfast!!’’, yelled Mrs. Ruthyard. “Get out of bed! ’’ The triplets ate delicious cornflakes and then got ready for school. Emily was 2 seconds elder to Sara and Sara was 3 seconds elder to Mario! Mr. Ruthyard had to go for work on Saturdays and very rarely on Sundays. Emily was a 10-year-old girl with almond-shaped eyes and short hair. She always wore a pink shirt and yellow shorts with a thin line of baby-pink at the edge. Sara was a carefree girl with sparkling blue eyes and waist-long hair. She loved different colors but was mostly seen in a light blue frock with a frilly silver lining at the edge of her sleeve. Mario was a charming boy with short brown hair. He loved wearing a striped shirt and green track pants. Little did the parents know that their children could hack an account or even shut down a whole security system! The triplets went to school with a...

Our Responsibility : Kindness Towards Animals

Image
Kindness Towards Animals    There are many varieties of animals, from whales to the smallest ants. Animals are used and sacrificed in many ways for the development of mankind, for ages, like experimenting on animals, using them as food or for entertainment purposes or making materials from them. If you want to protect animals, here are some simple tips each one of us can practice.   1. Don’t use stapler pins, many animals have suffered from a severe injury due to this. 2. Plant many trees. 3. Don’t use plastic bags. 4. Don’t pollute the water bodies. 5. Remember; every living being wants to live or nobody likes to die. It’s just a few little things that we can do to make a difference in their life.

A trip to Kashmir

A Trip To Kashmir.                 I was about 4 to 5 years old when I went on a trip to Kashmir. It was a lively and memorable moment.  Let me begin from the start. "Mom! What are you rushing for? It's children's day and you look like you're going to explode!" I asked. "Prisha! We are going to Kashmir, remember?" mom glared at me. I grinned.  The next day my family left. We were 45 people or something. (My grandad and dad weren't coming) "Pahel!" (My cousin who was born on the same date, year, time as me.)  I screamed... She hugged me as tightly as a bear! We sat on a plane and were off. First, we stayed for a few days in Pahalgam. It had a breathtaking view of rivers and rocks. The food there was equally lip-smacking.  Next, we went and stayed in a houseboat. The houseboat designs were royal, traditional, and made me feel like a princess. The bathtub was huge. The bed had rods holding a shawl. The boats were par...

A toothache

My Life...  The Toothache It was Wednesday morning when my tooth ached horribly.  All thanks to an invading gum which would pain even if I touch it with a toothbrush!  It was paining horribly. I thought that the pain would sojourn after a while but it was no use! It just kept getting worse. “Dear Prisha (pronounced Preesha), would you like some khakhra (an Indian thin disc made for breakfast)?” said my mother.  I had no intention of telling my mother or my dentist about this pain as I thought that I might have to do a root canal. I drank the chocolate milk up. I chewed some nuts on the right side of my jaw and then went into my room.  “What happened Prisha?” asked my mother lovingly. I said nothing. I had like 9 cavities. My mother knew that. She asked me to open my mouth wide. She saw my tooth but kept her mouth tied. That night, at 5:00 in the morning, I saw my mom and dad talking about something. Like a ninja, I peeked through the door gap and heard, “We wi...

One Day Trip

I remember, it was a boring Sunday morning and I was just doing my usual routine when my mother announced that we were going to Sanjay Gandhi National Park.  Oops, I completely forgot to introduce myself. I am Prisha Kapadia, a 10-year-old student. I jumped in joy when I heard the news! I was going with my friends Riddhi, Agastya, Rishaan, Ridhaan, Kavya, Agastya’s little brother, Aditya and Mahi. I was also taking my sister along. First, we took a picture under broad daylight. Next, we went boat riding. But we decided to eat a few fruits first like star fruit, watermelon, cucumber with masala, and many more. They were lips-smacking. Then, we went boat riding. The boats were shaped like elegant swans. My eyes glittered on seeing them. “Boys are going to win!” exclaimed Agastya. “Naah! G-I-R-L-S Go!” I encouraged. We were going to have a race. Actually, if you want to know, the girls won! After that, we played a few athletic games like lock and key as well as TAG. “Kids! Let’s have ...
